Based on the drawings of Vladimir Emmanuel, this book provides a representation of all the regiments of the Imperial Russian Cavalry in 1914.  This edition is based on an original 1986 private printing, but includes more information on the history, organization and ranks of the period.  There are over 100 hand crafted illustrations and an order of battle for the Russian Cavalry that took the field in August 1914.  The text includes portions written by fellow Russian officers who fought in the line and Cossack cavalry.
