February 1944, German and Vichy forces realize that the Resistance is recruiting on a large scale and preparing for a widespread uprising. The Savoie maquis decide to put the Montagnard plan into action as the Allied landings approach. This plan involves direct confrontation with the occupying forces and tying down as many enemy troops as possible by applying the “silo maquis” concept. In this fight to the death, will you be able to prevent the German and Vichy armies from encircling your positions while supplying your natural fortress where you have set up your command post? Can you hold out long enough to defeat the inevitable encirclement and, with your victory points, win “the battle of the airwaves” and restore pride to the French resistance?

Liberation is an asymmetrical Deck-building game that can be played in campaign mode (non-legacy). The occupying forces have a lot of resources at their disposal, and will have to face a united resistance.

Alpine redoubts become excellent natural fortresses that prevent the occupier from intervening.
